Flames. Stomach aches. Rough conditions. These are few keywords to describe the first test drive in a far away land Morocco. A test race with a solar car designed for Australia's flat roads tested both the team's technical and mental abilities, because the roads and conditions weren't comparable at all.

Solar Challenge Morocco 2021

The competition for solar powered cars was set up in co-operation other European solar teams and Classic Events in just months to replace the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge 2021 competition, that was cancelled due to the COVID pandemic. The moroccan test race gave us much needed experience and knowledge, that will be carried on to the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge 2023 in Australia!

Solaride received a special award from the Dutch solar car manufacturer Lightyear for Fiercest Fighting Spirit throughout the competition
